Reign's 270 awning has been one of the most useful products I have come across, and I instantly fell in love with the brand. This awning is a good example of thinking of every little detail. Much like other awnings on the market, it is indeed waterproof, and blocks the sun. Being in north Florida, I can certainly attest to its ability to do both. But where this awning shines is in the things you don't think about. Welding, using a grinder, or cooking on the tailgate? This awning is Fire Resistant, so no worries about ruining an expensive awning by using your truck.. well, like a truck. The frame actually supports itself freestanding, which is great for some quick shade or rain coverage especially loading up the bed. Finally, the attention to detail in the finishes. I know this is camping gear, but you would be lying if you said you didn't care what your truck or things look like, even if its when you first buy it. The colors are dope and the fabric looks great. The powder coating looks awesome after a ton of abuse, and the fabric hasn't experienced any fading with tons of use. Everything just works, and the quality is something we can stand behind and support.
